GSIS allotted over P584 million for emergency loan in Benguet and Kalinga, and more than P197 million in Abra. Date Posted: October 12, 2015 The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) allotted Php147 million in emergency loan for members and old-age pensioners in Batanes and Apayao after typhoons damaged shelter, agricultural crops, and livelihood in both provinces. GSIS earmarked Php45 million and Php102 million in emergency loan in Batanes and Apayao, respectively. The deadline for loan application is October 23, 2015. First-time borrowers may apply for a P20,000 loan. Those who have an existing emergency loan may borrow P40,000, with their outstanding balance to be deducted from the proceeds of their new loan.
