GSIS members, pensioners in Siquijor, Antique may apply for EL until August 3

Date Posted: August 2, 2016 Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) members and old-age pensioners in the provinces of Siquijor and Antique, except the municipality of Sibalom, may apply for emergency loan until August 3. The GSIS set aside more than P418 million in emergency loan for the calamity areas affected by El Niño. A total of 11,888 active GSIS members working or residing in the said provinces may avail of the loan if they are not on leave of absence without pay, and have no arrears in paying premium contributions in the last six months.
