For academic year 2022-2023 – GSIS now accepts application for educational subsidy; eyes 10,000 members’ kin

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is now accepting applications for the 10,000 slots for the GSIS Educational Subsidy Program (GESP) for academic year (AY) 2022-2023. Application is until August 31. GESP is part of GSIS’s corporate social responsibility, wherein 10,000 college students will receive Php10,000 from GSIS every year until they finish their course. A member may have up to two children or dependents receiving assistance under GESP, provided that the subsidy was granted for different school years. Qualified to nominate grantees for GESP are active members with permanent status. Their salary grade must be 24 (or its equivalent)...

GSIS pays P41M insurance to PAGASA for weather forecasting equipment damaged by typhoon

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) turned over P41 million in check to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) as payment for the latter’s insurance claim on its damaged Doppler Weather Surveillance equipment. The turnover ceremony was held last June 14 at the DOST-PAGASA office in Quezon City. The weather forecasting equipment stationed at the Basco Weather Radar Station in Batanes was severely damaged by Typhoon Ferdie in Batanes. GSIS unveils 2022 art tilt winners

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) unveiled the 21 winning entries to the 17th GSIS National Art Competition on June 24 at the GSIS Gymnasium. The winners of the representational painting category, carrying the theme “Pagsulong at Pag-asa sa Bagong Normal”, are James Sanorjo for his entry “Ugaliing Gawin” in first place; Mark Angelo Argarin’s “Partner sa Pagsulong”, second place; and Leonardo Manto III’s “Face to Face Class”, third place.
