GSIS Theater stages musical Halo Halo Tayo

Date Posted: May 8, 2019

In celebration of its 82nd anniversary this May, state pension fund Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), in cooperation with the Carl Jung Circle Center (CJCC), presents the original musical play “Halo Halo Tayo,” on May 10, 2019, 4pm at the GSIS Theater in Pasay City.

Halo Halo Tayo outlines the nine gifts of the Filipino based on the book of Jungian psychologist Rose Yenko entitled “The Gifts in the Filipino Psyche”. These gifts or archetypes refer to the Filipino as an artist, a navigator or wanderer, a tribal person, a warrior, a healer, a mystic, an islander, a reveler, and a child of Eden or a forest dweller.

Sonia Roco directed the play with original music composition of Marisa Marin. Ruby Villavicencio Paurom wrote the script based on personal stories of individuals who identified with these archetypes.

Halo Halo Tayo is open to the public. For inquiries, please call telephone numbers (02)859-0395 and (02)479-3588 or email theatre@gsis.gov.ph. The GSIS Theater is located at the 2nd level of the GSIS Bldg., Financial Center, Pasay City.
