Public affairs program GSIS Members’ Hour (GMH) was recently awarded the ANAK TV SEAL, a seal of good housekeeping on Philippine television, conferred to programs promoting family-friendly values. A primary level jury comprising more than 3,000 judges who include parents, teachers, as well as representatives of non-government organizations, business, media, and religious sectors screen the entries from February to October. Then, a secondary level jury further reviews the shortlisted entries based on moral slant, artistic merit, educational content, and cultural relevance. Now on its 14th year, the ANAK TV SEAL awards is organized by the Southeast Asian Foundation for Children and Television. GMH is joined by other awardees from ABS-CBN, GMA, GMA News TV, IBC, Net 25, TV5, and UNTV. GMH, which airs every Friday, 8 to 9 p.m. at government station PTV, (with replays every Saturday, 7 to 8 p.m.) discusses the latest developments on policies and programs that benefit 1.8 million GSIS members and pensioners.
