Pension Loan
Enhanced pension loan is offered to qualified old-age GSIS pensioners who are currently receiving pension for at least a month and with no outstanding service loans being amortized under the Choice of Loan Amortization Schedule for Pensioners (CLASP) and/or the GSIS Program of Restructuring and Repayment of Debts (PRRD) at the time of filing.
Loanable Amount:
The loan amount that may be availed is up to six months times his /her Basic Monthly Pension (BMP) but not more than P 500,000.00. The resulting net monthly pension after pension loan availment and Pensioners Emergency Loan (if any) must be at least 25% of the BMP. If the pensioner fails to satisfy the 25% resulting net monthly pension after deducting the loan amortization/s, the gross amount will be recalculated to a lower amount.
Qualified Borrowers: Regular Old-Age Pensioners who are:
- Currently receiving pension for at least a month; and,
- Have no outstanding service loans being amortized under the Choice of Loan Amortization Schedule for Pensioners (CLASP) and/or the GSIS Program of Restructuring and Repayment of Debts (PRRD) at the time of filing.
Payment Terms: 24 months with an interest rate of 10% per annum
Requirements for Application
- a completed application form; and
- pensioner’s UMID Card, or any 2 government-issued identification card bearing the photograph and signature of the pensioner
Steps on Filing
- Filing of Pension Loan Application through the GSIS Kiosk:
Step 1: Find the nearest GWAPS Kiosk and apply for a pension loan through the GSIS Kiosk.
Step 2: Check GWAPS for the following:- If the pensioner is eligible for a pension loan, the GW@PS system will automatically process the loan and a tentative computation will be shown in the screen.
- If the pensioner approves the computation, he/she will affix his/her confirmation biometrically.
- If the Kiosk will be unable to read the pensioner’s biometrics, he/she shall be advised by a GSIS personnel to make an over the counter (OTC) transaction.
- If the pensioner does not approve the computation, he/she shall end the transaction by simply cancelling the application.
