Airplanes and helicopters owned by the government while  in flight, taxiing, on ground or moored must be insured with GSIS against direct physical loss or damage.

The GSIS Aviation insurance also covers third party liability, passenger personal accident, crew and pilot personal accident, including but not limited to war, hijacking, and the like.

The GSIS aviation insurance covers the following:

1. Hull All Risks – covers loss or damage to the aircraft while the aircraft is:

  • In-Flight
  • Taxiing
  • On the ground
  • Moored

2. Liability to Third Parties

3. Liability to Passengers

4. Personal Accident to Crew (Pilot/Co-Pilot) Hull War Risk

The power of security of each government aircraft is  also given by GSIS.
