Advisory to all members and pensioners - Dec. 22, 2014

Please be advised that the GWAPS kiosks will be unavailable on December 24-27 and 30-31, 2014.

This is to give way for the system maintenance activities to be conducted by the GSIS Information Technology Services Group.

Kindly do your transactions in advance to avoid inconvenience.

Normal operations of the kiosks will resume on January 1, 2015.

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has released the results of the GSIS Scholarship Program (GSP) for Academic Year 2014-2015 (see list of grantees). A total of 200 scholars have been selected this school year.

The program provides an opportunity for children of low-income GSIS members to earn a college degree. The GSIS will shoulder up to P20,000 of the actual cost of tuition and miscellaneous fees of the selected scholar per semester. The scholars will also get a monthly stipend of P2,000.00.

The grantees are entitled to the following benefits on a semestral basis:
- Actual cost of tuition and miscellaneous fees, not to exceed P20,000.00; and
- Monthly stipend of P2,000.00.

The GSIS Scholars are required to submit the following documents to the nearest GSIS Office within thirty (30) days from the first day of publication of the list of qualifiers in a newspaper of general circulation:

  1. Signed and notarized Scholarship Contract;
  2. Duly accomplished Scholar Information Sheet;
  3. Original or certified true copy of Scholar's birth certificate;
  4. Original or certified true copy of Registration and Enrollment Assessment Form for 1st Semester/Term AY 2014-2015;
  5. Original or certified true copy of Official Receipts (for reimbursement of payment for 1st Semester/Term AY 2014-2015); and
  6. Course Curriculum.
Failure to submit said requirements within the given period shall mean forfeiture of the scholarship grant.

All parents/guardians and scholars residing and/or enrolled within or near Metro Manila are required to attend the orientation on Friday, 24 October 2014 at 1:00 PM at the 2nd Floor, Multipurpose Hall, GSIS Financial Center, Pasay City. Scholars and their companions may confirm their attendance through 09055286099 or (02) 4793600 local 3414. Those outside Metro Manila may visit the Branch Scholarship Coordinators at the nearest GSIS Office for more information.
