GSIS cited as frontline service champion, Seal of Excellence hall of famer under Anti-Red Tape Act program

State pension fund Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) was recognized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on Monday as the Frontline Service Champion in view of its performance under the Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA) program.

CSC subjected GSIS to the ARTA-Report Card Survey from 2011 to 2015, and 2017 to assess how the transacting public grade the quality, efficiency and adequacy of different frontline services of the pension fund.

From a ‘Failed’ rating of 73.82% in 2012, GSIS bounced back in 2013 with a rating of 88.68% equivalent to ‘Good’, and back-to-back ‘Excellent’ ratings of 91.19% and 91.73% in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

In addition, GSIS’s resolution rate under the Contact Center ng Bayan (CCB) was 100% from 2012 to 2016, and 95.34% in 2017.

CCB is a feedback mechanism where citizens may request information and assistance on government frontline service procedures, as well as report commendations, appreciation, complaints, and feedback.

CSC also recognized GSIS as a Seal of Excellence Hall of Famer, which is conferred to agencies with the most number of Citizen’s Satisfaction Center Seal of Excellence Award. To date, the pension fund has received a total of 53 Seals of Excellence – 28 in Luzon, 13 in Visayas, and 12 in Mindanao.

“We are both humbled and honored by these awards. GSIS will continue to support the efforts of the Civil Service Commission to maintain a red tape free GSIS,” President and General Manager Jesus Clint Aranas said.
