GSIS offers emergency loans to 2K members, pensioners in Gumaca, Quezon

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is offering until November 22, 2017, an emergency loan to its 1,341 active members and 293 old-age pensioners in the municipality of Gumaca, Quezon, who were affected by tropical depression Maring.

Active members who have no existing emergency loans may apply for a Php20,000 loan. Those who have not yet fully paid their loan may borrow Php40,000, from which the outstanding balance will be deducted.

To qualify, active members must be working or residing in the said area, are not on leave of absence without pay, have no arrears in paying premium contributions, and have no unpaid loans for more than six months. They should also have a minimum take-home pay of Php4,000 after the monthly premium contribution and loan amortization have been deducted.




GSIS Head Office in Pasay City closed on Nov 8-10

In compliance with Malacanang Circular No. 32 which suspended work in government offices within the PICC complex on November 8-10, 2017, the GSIS Head Office in Pasay City will be closed on said dates. The suspension of work in the area is intended to give way to the preparations for the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit.

To ensure uninterrupted service on November 8-10, GSIS members and pensioners are advised to transact with GSIS Quezon City Branch Office (M. Geronimo Building No. 746 Mindanao Ave., Tandang Sora, Quezon City) or GSIS Pasig Extension Office (3rd Floor, Elements @ Rosemary Bldg., Pasig Boulevard cor., Rosemary Lane, Pasig City) or any other nearest GSIS offices except the Head Office in Pasay.

Since November 13-15 (Monday to Wednesday) have also been declared nonworking holidays, GSIS’s regular operations in the Head Office in Pasay City, Quezon City branch office and Pasig Extension Office will resume on November 16, 2017 (Thursday).
