GRANT OF EMERGENCY LOAN FOR MEMBERS WORKING OR RESIDING IN NAUJAN, ORIENTAL MINDORO

The Governnment Service Insurance System (GSIS) has approved the grant of a P20,000 emergency loan for GSIS members in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro,  who were affected by flashfloods triggered by intermittent rains in the area  last March 28.

GSIS members in Naujan may apply for the loan from April 4 to May 3, 2012. They   may apply for the  loan through the GWAPS kiosk using either the eCard or  UMID eCard.   GSIS members who lost their cards but who are eligible to apply for the loan may apply over-the-counter in any GSIS office.

Government offices in Naujan include Deped Naujan East, Apitong National  High School;  Evangelista Natl High School;  Doroteo S. Mendoza Sr.; National High School;  Naujan Municipal High School; Melgar National High School; Deped Naujan South; Deped Naujan West; MTC- Naujan; Balugo National High School; Inarawan National High School; Municipal  Government  of Naujan; Naujan Community  Hospital; Local Water Dist Of Naujan;  Agricultural  Training Inst- Barcenaga; San Agustin National High School;  and, Aurora National High School.
Eligible members who may file for emergency loan include bona fide employees of the agency located in the declared calamity area or are resident of the declared calamity area; in active service and not on leave of absence without pay; have no pending criminal or administrative charges; have no arrearages in the payment of mandatory social insurance contributions; and have no loan that has been declared in default.

Members in  agencies whose loan privileges were suspended because of non-remittance of premium and loan payments are not eligible to apply for the emergency loan.

ADVISORY: Scheduled Service Maintenance

The GSIS will conduct  a scheduled IT service maintenance that will cause disruption to our online services  from 8 PM of April 4  (Holy Wednesday) to 5 PM of April 9, 2012  (Araw ng Kagitingan).

Access to the following GSIS online facilities will not be available on said dates:

1. GWAPS kiosks (loan application, viewing of member’s records, activation of pensioner’s status)
2. AAO Certification Module of the AAO Website (approval and confirmation of loans)
3. Website transactional facilities (viewing of member information, status of loan, request for statement of accounts and viewing of member accounts)
