Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) President and General Manager Robert G. Vergara announced today that the pension fund has opened a Php20,000 pension emergency loan (PEL) window to old-age pensioners living in areas devastated by typhoon Glenda.

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) warns the public of unscrupulous individuals and groups posing as officers of the pension fund soliciting money for alleged aid for whatever purpose (i.e. anti-criminal activities).
GSIS is fully compliant with the NO SOLICITATION AND GIFT POLICY as amended (Policy and Procedural Guidelines No. 257-14), in particular, that GSIS officials and employees are prohibited from "directly or indirectly soliciting gifts, favors or benefits from stakeholders and directly or indirectly soliciting, accepting or receiving any gift, favor or benefits from any party which may influence the performance of their official functions or which may be perceived as influencing their past, present and future official functions."
We thus enjoin the cooperation of the public to report these individuals to GSIS through the office of the President and General Manager at 859.0353.

Please be informed of the following updates in our GW@PS kiosks:
- The tentative computation of pension loan now shows that the first monthly installment of the redemption insurance (RI) is automatically deducted from the gross loan proceeds.
- Record of creditable service (RCS) is now called periods with paid premiums (PPP).
Updating all kiosks to include the above information is going on and shall be completed by 25 August 2014.
